On Tuesday, 22 May, Granger & Co picked up a Condé Nast Traveller Design and Innovation Award as it jointly topped the ‘Gourmet’ Best Design and Innovation category with London restaurant The Delaunay. Renowned food lover and chef Loyd Grossman presented Bill with the award at a ceremony at the Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square in London, which was hosted by Condé Nast Traveller Editor Sarah Miller.
Granger & Co had some tough competition: Ceviche (London), Escargot (London),
The French Laundry at Harrods Pop Up Restaurant (London), Geist (Copenhagen),
The Gilbert Scott (London), Les Grandes Tables (de I’lle Seguin, Paris), Maaemo (Oslo), Olinda Tea House (Melbourne, Australia) and L’Opera Restaurant (Paris).
For those of you who haven’t had the chance to visit yet, the restaurant in London is a corner property on Westbourne Grove, Notting Hill. The design by Australian designers Meacham Nockles McQualter benefits from big windows with sunny yellow awnings, extensive use of natural materials such as reclaimed timber, terrazzo and leather, and a light, sophisticated colour palette. The Condé Nast Traveller Design and Innovation Awards are now in their sixth year.
Well done to the Granger & Co team!
